Once it turns green, the macbook is fully charged. you can then remove the magsafe connector from the macbook. the advantage of having this external light is that you know when the macbook is charging and when it is full without needing to turn on the computer and look at the screen.. Green and orange blinking light on battery charger and macbook pro won't power on. i had the same problem with my macbook pro i5 13" not powering on and the charger flashing green and orange and it not charging!!. I just got my macbook today, and i'm currently charging it for the first time. when i plug the magsafe adapter into my machine, the light is green for a few moments but then turns orange.. Magsafe led blinks amber once and then shuts off, does not charge. when i plug my charger in it quickly blinks amber and then goes out and will not charge the battery. the first battery charge indicator led blinks green suggesting it needs a charge..
